Lead Product/UX Designer, Enterprise — October 2017 - February 2019
Create B2B experience for Target to launch Storefront, where companies can sell their products on Target.com, like a marketplace. Conducted research with sellers to alleviate pain points from other marketplaces, utilized material.ui to build a front-end from scratch with engineering team, and was able to do all this within a 6-month time frame. After that, I worked on Launchpad, an in-house item data management system that would make the item setup process more efficient. I worked with a SCRUM team to establish a design system, build empathy with our end-users, create a style guide and best practices, as well as leverage data to build out a more automated tool.

 

PRIME DIGITAL ACADEMY - MINNEAPOLIS, MN

Educated students on the areas of User Experience design within an 18 week full-time, immersive boot camp. The curriculum we taught ranged from research methods to synthesis, scoping and planning, wireframes to prototyping -- even a little visual design. I gave daily lectures and software demos, managed the rigorous daily calendar of events, lined up guest speakers and critiques, coordinated pro-bono client projects, honed student's critical thinking and soft skills, as well as helped them build compelling portfolios in order to prep them for a career in User Experience Design.

Partnered with User Research team & A/B Testing team to get user feedback. Helped establish the vision and iterative product plan with the team. Part of Target’s in-house product design and development team creating category design strategies for the Hardlines department: luggage, backpacks, travel accessories, sporting goods, and pets. Responsibilities included trend research, product concepts, surface print/pattern, silhouette design, fabric choice, and color palettes. Partnered with guest insights team to do guest interviews, product usability studies, product focus groups, and store walkthroughs to glean insights on our customer’s expectations of Target products.
